You Asked For It, Here It Is

Did you get something Christmas morning that you asked for?  When opening gifts that morning with friends and family, did you see THE item that you had wished for?  Maybe in your heart or maybe out loud, but you sure wanted it.  Sure, surprises are great.  It is a wonderful feeling when you know that someone knows you well enough to know what you would need or what you would like.  Well, here at ACS, we try to do both.  We want to know you well enough to put in our products what you need that you may not even know you need.  We desire to know what you are doing and experiencing well enough that we anticipate the need – even before you ask.  We like it when you ask, too!  You definitely do, and we want you to keep the enhancement requests coming! 

Well you asked, we heard you, and we delivered.  Online Giving Updates.  Our “gift” to you that you “wished” for.  And isn’t that truly the gift that keeps on giving as your contributors give back to you?  :)

In the December release of Access ACS, we had several much requested enhancements centered around Online Giving.  Often when people set up a recurring gift, they may have a specific date they want the gift to start and happen based on their personal money flow.  Now, they can select the specific start date (ex: next Tuesday, January 12).  So, a weekly gift would now happen every Tuesday, starting on the 12th.  An end payment number or date can be given as well.  A Twice a Month option is also now an available frequency.  What about people that visit or know about your organization, like what they see, want to give, but aren’t a member?  Visitors can now set up a recurring gift without having to become a member!  Also added to help you place the proper focus on different funds, you can now set up the order of the funds.  So, the special Christmas fund can be the first one listed in December, but now that it is January it can be moved on down the list.  The Online Giving and Bank Deposit reports have been updated as well to help you manage all of this money coming in.

In the next few days, we will be releasing ACS 10.3.1.2.  (Available at our download site when released.)  This includes an update to the Access ACS Contribution Import.  This will allow you to select individual transactions or batches grouped by transaction date when pulling data from Access ACS in to ACS.  This option will be relocated to the Posting Status window inside Enter/Post Contributions.  The Unfinished Posting report will also include non-imported transactions from the Access ACS Import.
